What to expect from your maternity session.
With me as your Edmonds area maternity photographer, booking a session is a simple and stress-free process, designed so you can focus on enjoying this special time. It all begins when you reach out through my contact form and let me know which maternity package feels right for you. I’ll respond quickly with all the details and help you secure your spot.
Once we’ve chosen the perfect date — usually between 30 and 34 weeks of pregnancy when your bump is really bumping — you’ll reserve your session with a signed agreement and retainer. That way, your time is officially set aside on my calendar.
From there, I’ll guide you through the planning process. We’ll talk about whether you’d like your maternity photos on the beach here in Edmonds, in a flower field in the mountains, or in your home for a cozy lifestyle maternity session. We'll discuss what to wear and whether you want to wear a piece from my client closet, or something from your own wardrobe. I’ll also share prep tips and full guides so you feel fully ready on the day of your session, From bringing water to taking breaks, we'll make sure you are prepared.
On the day itself, your only job is to relax and enjoy. I’ll guide you through flattering poses and natural interactions so your images reflect the excitement and love surrounding this chapter of your life.
After your session, you’ll receive a proofing gallery to review. Once you select your favorites, I’ll apply my final edits and deliver a private online gallery that you can download and cherish forever.
If you want more than just a few quick photos, this package is for you. It lets us capture a variety of looks with different outfits, poses, and settings, so your final gallery feels complete and truly reflects your story. Think of it as the sweet spot between posed and natural, with room for creativity.
